Meet the Doctor

Milwaukee Chiropractor : Dr. Martin Joepeck

My friends at the UW were a little surprised. Why would I become a chiropractor if I could become any other kind of doctor instead?

Choosing Chiropractic

Why did I decide to become a chiropractor? I chose to become a chiropractor after observing my father’s experience with spinal disc and nerve problems. He endured over 2 years of mental and physical pain, disability, and multiple failed therapies ending with back surgery. On his own, against the advice of his other doctors, my father sought the help of a chiropractor. In less than 2 months of frequent visits to the chiropractor and doing a few recommended exercises, my father was greatly relieved of pain, his disability was virtually eliminated, and he felt like a kid again(at the age of 61). He regained so much health and function that he was able to do all the things he enjoyed in life, including working on cars and shooting hoops with me.

My dad’s experience encouraged me to look further into the Chiropractic profession , and ever since, I have been dedicated to helping others to realize true health naturally, just as that chiropractor was able to do for my father.

Chiropractic Education

I started on my path towards becoming a chiropractor at UW-Madison and received my Bachelor of Science degree with emphasis on biochemistry, anatomy, neurology, nutrition, exercise and fitness. I then chose to attend Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN for four years to become a Doctor of Chiropractic. The coursework was very comprehensive with studies focusing on neuroanatomy, advanced biochemistry, clinical nutrition, physical rehabilitation, neurology and human physiology, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques, along with patient care internships and externships in various clinics.

After I earned my Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2001, I decided to move to the Milwaukee area because I felt there were many people who would appreciate learning about safe and natural chiropractic care to solve health problems and reach their full health potential. Since graduating from Chiropractic College I have continued with post-graduate education in the areas of Whiplash, Work Injuries, Exercise and Fitness, Nutrition, Optimal Health and Wellness, Low-force Adjusting Techniques, and Healthy Lifestyle Modification counseling. I will do what is necessary to offer my patients the latest advances in gentle and effective chiropractic wellness care.

My Philosophy

My personal purpose and practice philosophy is to honor life, holistic health, and the healing process. I treat everyone who walks into my healing center as a unique person who is deserving of compassion, understanding, and truth. As a doctor of chiropractic, I continue to grow, learn and refine my skills to give you the highest level of quality health care possible. My goal is to provide the knowledge, support, and inspiration you need to make positive lifestyle changes and choices so you can experience the ULTIMATE LIFE. I promise to do my best, so that you can be at your best and express life with true health, happiness, and well-being. I am thankful for the privilege to serve and impact lives by offering hope and healing to people of all ages. I have been inspired by many of my practice members, from 2 weeks old to 84 years young, who were experiencing poor health and dysfunction but responded to chiropractic wellness care and were given renewed life. Healing and better vitality can happen for anyone, as long as you are alive, breathing, and open to the possibility of becoming a better you.

Outside The Office

While expressing my ULTIMATE LIFE I play team sports with friends because of the relaxed atmosphere and great exercise. I enjoy regular visits to my extended family in Green Bay. Of course, I am a HUGE fan of the Brewers, Packers, and Badgers. I seize opportunities to support local events and volunteer to do health talks for those who are interested in strategies to experience greater vitality, optimal performance, and slow or reverse the effects of aging in their life.

I stay young and healthy by seeing my chiropractor every few weeks, or more often if he recommends it for me. I consistently exercise 3 to 5 days most weeks and eat regular meals consisting of a variety of whole foods. I must confess, I have an occasional binge on decadent foods here and there, but my consistency the rest of the year rewards me with excellent health. The following may sound incredible, but I haven’t felt the need to take ANY medications in the last 15 years because I make healthy lifestyle choices and see my chiropractor regularly. The last thing I took back then was ibuprofen for a few days after I dislocated my kneecap. I am sharing this with you because I believe Ultimate Life Is For Everyone who chooses healthy lifestyle options.
